Dannette Greene began working in the Greenville County’s Sheriff’s Office in the early 1970s just after she turned 18 years old. She worked there off and on for another four decades. During that time, she served with every Greenville County Sheriff.
Greene was working in the dispatchers’ office on the morning of January 31, 1975 and was one of the last people to speak to Lt. Frank Looper.
Many years later, Greene married a man named Bill Greene. In 1975, Greene was a county deputy who worked the crime scene in the Looper Garage on the day of the murders.
